In Japanese, "shiki" means Seasons, which is why there are 4 colorways, each representing a season.
Green, to represent Spring, Blue to represent Summer, Red to represent Fall, and Black to represent Winter.
The origami design originates from a fold that was used to hold small items, gifts, and messages. My hope is that it can symbolize holding dear moments or treasures close to you, through each season of life.
While the earrings are sealed with a protective finish, they are made out of paper and require careful handling.

What is it made out of?
- Each piece is folded by hand from traditional Japanese washi paper, which is a soft paper (made from natural fibers) that is silkscreened with repetitive, traditional designs.
- All the paper is sourced from Japan.
Is it safe for sensitive skin?
Yes, all earring hooks, studs, and chains are hypoallergenic 14k gold-fill. Gold fill is a higher quality metal than gold-plated that has a thicker layer of gold and is nickel-free and tarnish resistant.
Returns/Exchanges
For any inquiries about returns and exchanges, please email hello@mimisorigamis.com. Customers are eligible for an exchange or store credit.
Returns must be initiated within 14 days of and returned within 30 days of delivery date.
Since we are a small business, we cannot cover return shipping. Customers will be responsible for shipping costs and returns must have a tracking number to receive store credit.
